2018 - ongoing
These photographs, taken in Savannah, Georgia, focus on trees and their relationships with the environments in which they reside. Specifically, ones that hold a large presence in their surroundings or ones of an altered state. Man molds these trees into unnatural straight edges and shapes to make them fit into our ever-changing environment, doing everything possible to not remove them.
Some of these living monuments have been around for decades. Well before most of the buildings, homes, and streets that now surround them and they will most likely exist after they’re gone. Others are brought in from elsewhere, made to fit into their new homes, and serve their new purpose. I'm always on the lookout for cool and interesting trees so if you have any in mind please let me know here.
